Synopsis – What to Expect from “Tarzan the Ape Man”
Tarzan the Ape Man is a classic adventure film released in 1932. The movie follows the story of a young man, Tarzan (Johnny Weissmuller), who was raised by apes in the African jungle.
The movie begins with a group of explorers, led by James Parker (C. Aubrey Smith), searching for the legendary lost city of Opar. They stumble upon an abandoned camp and find a baby boy in a cradle. They take the child with them, not realizing that he is the son of Lord Greystoke, who had been lost in the jungle many years ago.
Back in England, the group discovers that the child is in fact the missing Lord Greystoke and they name him John Clayton. John is raised in the lap of luxury, but he yearns to return to the jungle and find his true identity.
John eventually gets his wish and returns to the jungle. He is taken in by the apes, who recognize him as one of their own. He learns to communicate with the apes and to use their skills to survive in the wild.
John also meets Jane (Maureen O’Sullivan), a young woman who has been living in the jungle with her father, Professor Porter (Neil Hamilton). Jane and John become fast friends and eventually fall in love.
John must also face the dangers of the jungle, including the villainous hunter, Captain Fry (C. Henry Gordon), who is determined to capture
