Synopsis – What to Expect from “Tamara Drewe”
Tamara Drewe is a British romantic comedy-drama film based on the newspaper comic strip of the same name by Posy Simmonds. The film follows the story of Tamara Drewe, a young journalist who returns to her hometown after a successful career in London.
Upon her return, Tamara finds her old home occupied by a young couple, Ben and Jody, who are renovating the property. She also discovers that her old flame, Andy, is now married to Beth, a local writer.
Tamara quickly begins to make waves in the small town when she catches the eye of Nicholas, a rock star who is staying at the local hotel. She also begins to rekindle her relationship with Andy, who is still in love with her.
Meanwhile, Ben and Jody’s relationship begins to unravel as Jody begins to feel neglected by Ben and falls for Nicholas. This leads to a love triangle between Tamara, Ben, and Jody.
Tamara’s presence also stirs up trouble with Beth, who is jealous of Tamara and Andy’s connection. Beth begins to plot her revenge against Tamara, leading to a series of events that will test the strength of all of their relationships.
In the end, Tamara must confront her feelings for Andy and Ben, while coming to terms with her own past. Will Tamara find true love in the end? You’ll have to watch to find out!
