Synopsis/Plot
Take Down is a 2016 action thriller directed by Jim Gillespie and starring Jeremy Sumpter, Phoebe Tonkin, and Ed Westwick. The movie follows a group of wealthy teenagers who are sent to a private island off the coast of Scotland. When their parents are taken hostage, the teens must work together to survive and take down the kidnappers.
The story begins with the group of teens on a yacht, headed to an island off the coast of Scotland. They are all from wealthy families, and the trip is a reward for their academic success. But when they arrive on the island, they are met with a group of armed mercenaries. The mercenaries take the teens’ parents hostage and demand a ransom. The teens must now work together to survive and find a way to take down the kidnappers.
The teens must use their wits and ingenuity to outsmart the mercenaries. They come up with a plan to use the island’s natural resources to their advantage. With the help of some of the island’s wildlife, they set a series of traps and ambushes to take down the kidnappers.
The teens also have to face their own personal issues, as they come to terms with their own privileged backgrounds.
