Synopsis – What to Expect from “Switchback”
Switchback is a 1997 American thriller film directed by Jeb Stuart and starring Dennis Quaid and Danny Glover. The film follows FBI agent Frank LaCrosse (Quaid) as he investigates a series of murders that appear to be linked to a serial killer he put away years earlier.
The story begins with a series of brutal murders in the small town of Switchback, Texas. The victims have all been killed in a similar manner, leading the FBI to suspect that a serial killer is on the loose. Frank LaCrosse, an FBI agent, is sent to investigate the murders.
Frank soon discovers that the killer is Bobby Lee Swan (Glover), a man he put away years earlier. Bobby Lee escaped from prison and is now exacting his revenge on the people who put him away. Frank begins to track Bobby Lee, but soon finds himself in a race against time as Bobby Lee’s victims pile up.
Frank eventually finds Bobby Lee in an abandoned mine, and a tense standoff ensues. After a violent struggle, Frank is able to capture Bobby Lee and put an end to his killing spree. However, the aftermath of Bobby Lee’s rampage leaves Frank with a heavy heart and a newfound appreciation for life.
