Synopsis – What to Expect from “Survival of the Dead”
Survival of the Dead is a horror movie released in 2010. It follows the story of a group of survivors of a zombie apocalypse who have taken refuge on an island off the coast of Delaware.
The movie begins with the group of survivors, led by the gruff and determined Patrick O’Flynn (Kenneth Welsh), setting up a makeshift camp on the island. They soon discover that the island is inhabited by two feuding families, the O’Flynns and the Muldoons. The two families have been fighting over how to deal with the zombie outbreak, with the Muldoons believing that the infected should be killed and the O’Flynns believing that they should be kept alive in hopes of finding a cure.
The tension between the two families comes to a head when Patrick’s daughter, Janet (Kathleen Munroe), is bitten by a zombie. Patrick, desperate to save his daughter, forces the Muldoons to help him find a cure. However, the Muldoons have other plans and soon the two families are at war.
Meanwhile, a mysterious stranger (Alan Van Sprang) arrives on the island and offers the survivors a way off the island. He reveals that he is a scientist who is working on a cure for the zombie virus. He offers to take the survivors to safety if they can help him find a cure.
