Synopsis/Plot
Superman III is a 1983 superhero film directed by Richard Lester. It is the third installment in the Superman film series and the last to feature Christopher Reeve as Superman. The film follows Superman as he battles a computer genius, Ross Webster, who is bent on taking over the world.
The film begins with Superman (Christopher Reeve) arriving in Smallville for the town’s centennial celebration. After saving the town from a tornado, Superman is taken to the home of his childhood friend, Lana Lang (Annette O’Toole). While there, Superman learns of a new threat from billionaire businessman Ross Webster (Robert Vaughn). Webster has created a powerful computer system, called the “Synthetic Kryptonite Generator”, that is capable of controlling the world’s weather patterns.
Meanwhile, Webster has hired a computer genius, Gus Gorman (Richard Pryor), to help him with his plan. Gorman uses his computer skills to help Webster gain control of the world’s finances.
In an effort to stop Webster, Superman uses his powers to create a powerful new form of kryptonite. However, this new kryptonite has an unexpected side effect: it causes Superman to become evil and selfish. With his newfound
