Synopsis – What to Expect from “Summer Rental”
Summer Rental is a 1985 comedy film starring John Candy, Karen Austin, and Richard Crenna. The story follows Jack Chester (Candy), an overworked air traffic controller who is forced to take a vacation by his boss. He decides to take his family on a summer vacation to the Gulf Coast of Florida.
Upon arriving, they find out that their vacation rental is a rundown shack. Despite this, Jack and his family make the best of the situation and soon find themselves in a series of misadventures. From a crazy boat race to a wild night at a local bar, the Chesters find themselves in a series of wacky situations.
