Synopsis – What to Expect from “Stuck”
Stuck is a 2007 American dark comedy-drama film written and directed by Stuart Gordon and starring Mena Suvari, Stephen Rea, and Russell Hornsby.
The film tells the story of Brandi Boski (Mena Suvari), a young woman from a wealthy family who is struggling to make her way in the world. After a night of partying, Brandi gets into a car accident and accidentally hits a homeless man, Tom Bardo (Stephen Rea). She panics and flees the scene, leaving Tom stuck in her windshield.
Brandi is now faced with a difficult decision; she can either turn herself in and face the consequences, or try to cover up the accident and keep it a secret. She chooses the latter and begins to devise a plan to keep Tom hidden in her garage. With the help of her friend Rashid (Russell Hornsby), she devises a plan to keep Tom alive and hidden from the authorities.
Meanwhile, the police begin to investigate the accident and become suspicious of Brandi’s involvement. As the investigation intensifies, Brandi must decide whether to keep her secret or turn herself in.
Stuck is a darkly humorous and thought-provoking film that explores the consequences of Brandi’s actions and the moral implications of her decisions. It is a story of guilt, redemption, and ultimately, the power of human compassion.
