Synopsis/Plot
Strike! is a 1998 drama film directed by Sarah Kernochan and starring Kirsten Dunst, Gaby Hoffmann, and Rachael Leigh Cook. The film follows the story of a group of young girls who form a labor union in order to fight for better working conditions at their local factory.
The film opens with a young girl, Mollie (Kirsten Dunst), who is determined to make a difference in her small town. After her father is laid off from the local factory, she is determined to take action and fight for better working conditions. She rallies together a group of her friends, who all work in the factory, and forms a labor union.
The girls face a great deal of opposition from the factory owners and the townspeople, who do not believe that the girls are capable of making a difference. However, the girls are determined to fight for their rights and continue to organize protests and rallies in order to bring attention to their cause.
The film follows the girls as they struggle to make a difference in their town and fight for better working conditions. With the help of an inspiring teacher, they are able to unite the townspeople and eventually win their fight.
