Synopsis/Plot
Straw Dogs is an intense and controversial psychological thriller from 1971, written and directed by Sam Peckinpah. It stars Dustin Hoffman and Susan George as David and Amy Sumner, an American couple who move to a small village in Cornwall, England.
The Sumners hope to find a peaceful life in the countryside, but they soon find themselves the target of the locals’ hostility and resentment. The villagers, led by a man named Charlie, resent the couple’s presence and are determined to drive them out. As the tension between the Sumners and the locals escalates, David is forced to confront his own inner demons and find the courage to fight back.
