Synopsis – What to Expect from “Strangerland”
Strangerland is a psychological thriller set in the Australian Outback. It follows the story of the Parker family, who have recently moved to the small town of Nathgari. The Parkers are a family of four, consisting of parents Catherine and Matthew, and their two teenage children, Lily and Tommy.
The Parkers are struggling to adjust to their new life in the small town, and tensions start to arise between them. They are also struggling to come to terms with the sudden disappearance of their son, Tommy. Desperate for answers, Catherine and Matthew enlist the help of local police officer David Rae to help them find their son.
As the investigation progresses, it soon becomes apparent that Tommy’s disappearance is linked to a mysterious stranger who has been seen around town. It is soon revealed that this stranger is a mysterious drifter named Joe, who has a dark and sinister past.
As the story progresses, the Parkers soon discover that Joe is connected to Tommy’s disappearance, and they must confront their own personal demons in order to find him. The film takes a dark and twisted turn as the Parkers are forced to confront the secrets of their past in order to save their son.
The film culminates in a gripping climax as the Parkers must face their fears and confront Joe in order to save their son and their family.
