Synopsis – What to Expect from “Strange Weather”
Strange Weather is a 2016 drama film directed by Katherine Dieckmann and starring Holly Hunter, Carrie Coon, and Kim Coates.
The film follows Darcy Baylor (Holly Hunter), a middle-aged widow living in a small Mississippi town. Still mourning the death of her husband, Darcy is struggling to come to terms with her loss and trying to find a way to move forward.
One day, she decides to take a road trip to visit her son, who lives in a different state. Along the way, she meets a variety of people, including a young man named Troy (Kim Coates), who she helps out of a jam. As their journey progresses, Darcy and Troy develop a close bond.
At the same time, Darcy’s son is struggling with his own problems. He has been in a long-term relationship with a woman who is now pregnant, and he is not sure if he is ready to become a father.
