Synopsis – What to Expect from “Stir Crazy”
Stir Crazy is a 1980 American comedy film directed by Sidney Poitier and starring Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor.
The movie begins with two best friends, Harry Monroe (Gene Wilder) and Skip Donahue (Richard Pryor), who are out of work actors. In order to make some money, they decide to take a job at a local theme park in Arizona. However, when they arrive, they find out that the job is not at all what they expected.
The two friends are hired to dress up as a cowboy and an Indian and to stir up excitement for the park. They quickly realize that the job is not as easy as they thought and they start to get into trouble with the locals.
Things take a turn for the worse when Skip and Harry are arrested for a robbery they didn’t commit. They are sentenced to 125 years in prison and must find a way to break out before they become inmates for life.
The two friends hatch a plan to break out of prison and prove their innocence. With the help of some fellow inmates, they make a daring escape. On the run from the law, Skip and Harry must find a way to prove their innocence and clear their names.
