Synopsis – What to Expect from “Step Sisters”
Step Sisters is a 2018 comedy film directed by Charles Stone III and written by Chuck Hayward. The film follows Jamilah, an ambitious college student who is tasked with teaching a step dance routine to a group of outcast girls in order to help them gain acceptance into an exclusive college sorority.
Jamilah is a hardworking and ambitious college student who is determined to make her mark on the world. She has been accepted into the prestigious and exclusive Omega Sorority, but her dreams of joining the group are threatened when her dean assigns her a seemingly impossible task: to teach a group of outcast girls a step dance routine in order to gain acceptance into the sorority.
Jamilah reluctantly takes on the task and quickly discovers that the girls are far from the misfits she expected. She quickly bonds with the girls and helps them to discover their own unique talents and strengths. As they practice and perfect the routine, Jamilah and the girls also learn to embrace their differences and come together as a team.
As the girls gain confidence and become more and more proficient at the routine, they begin to believe in themselves and their potential. Despite a few bumps in the road, the girls manage to put on an amazing show and prove to the sorority that they deserve to be accepted.
