Synopsis – What to Expect from “Stealing Harvard”
Stealing Harvard is a 2002 American comedy film directed by Bruce McCulloch and starring Jason Lee, Tom Green, Leslie Mann, Dennis Farina, and John C. McGinley.
The movie follows the story of John Plummer (Jason Lee), a hard-working and devoted uncle who is determined to help his beloved niece, Nancy (Tammy Blanchard), fulfill her dream of attending Harvard University. However, John’s financial situation is not ideal, and he is unable to come up with the funds. After consulting with his best friend, Duff (Tom Green), John comes up with a plan to steal the money from his employer, a shady loan shark named Mr. Pivney (Dennis Farina).
John and Duff enlist the help of their mutual friend, Elaine (Leslie Mann), to help them pull off the heist. Meanwhile, John’s girlfriend, Patty (Megyn Price), is determined to find out what John is up to and stops at nothing to get to the bottom of it.
Things become complicated when the loan shark discovers the theft and sends his henchman, Bob (John C. McGinley), to track down the thieves. With the loan shark and Bob hot on their trail, John and his crew must find a way to outsmart them and keep the money.
