Synopsis – What to Expect from “Starman”
Starman is a science fiction romance film released in 1984. It tells the story of an alien who comes to Earth in the form of a human being.
The movie begins with an alien spacecraft crashing into the Wisconsin countryside. Inside the craft is an alien being, known as the Starman. He is sent to Earth by his own people, the Zeta Reticulans, to find a way to save their dying race.
The Starman is found by Jenny Hayden, a young widow who is trying to cope with the death of her husband. She takes the Starman in and helps him understand the ways of Earth. As they travel together, they form a bond, and Jenny begins to fall in love with him.
Meanwhile, the government has sent a team of scientists and military personnel to capture the Starman and bring him to a top-secret facility in Arizona. Jenny and the Starman must evade capture and find a way to get him back to his own planet.
Along the way, Jenny and the Starman encounter a variety of people, from a friendly truck driver to a mysterious stranger who helps them in their quest. They also discover that the Starman’s mission may be more important than they originally thought.
In the end, Jenny and the Starman must confront their own fears and insecurities in order to save the Starman’s race and find a way back home. Starman is a heart-warming story of
