Synopsis/Plot
Stargirl is a coming-of-age drama film directed by Julia Hart and based on the 2000 novel of the same name by Jerry Spinelli. The film stars Grace VanderWaal as the titular character, Stargirl, and follows her journey as she navigates the complex social dynamics of high school.
Stargirl Caraway is a free-spirited, independent girl who moves to Mica, Arizona, with her mother. She quickly stands out from the crowd with her unique fashion sense and her enthusiasm for life. She befriends a group of misfits and encourages them to embrace their individuality. Despite the initial resistance from her peers, Stargirl eventually wins over the school with her positive attitude and inspiring acts of kindness.
