Synopsis/Plot
Star Trek: The Motion Picture is a science fiction adventure film released in 1979, directed by Robert Wise and based on the popular television series of the same name. The film follows the crew of the USS Enterprise as they investigate a mysterious and powerful alien spacecraft of unknown origin that is heading towards Earth.
The story begins with the Enterprise, under the command of Admiral James T. Kirk (William Shatner), being called out of retirement to investigate the alien vessel. Accompanying them is the mysterious and powerful V’ger, an artificial life form that is on a journey to discover its creator. Along the way the crew must battle the alien threat and discover the secrets of V’ger before it is too late.
