Synopsis/Plot
Star Trek: Generations is a 1994 American science fiction action film directed by David Carson and based on the television series Star Trek. It is the seventh film in the Star Trek film series and the first to star the cast of the television series Star Trek: The Next Generation. Set in the 24th century, the film follows the crew of the USS Enterprise-D as they encounter a time-travelling villain, Soran, who is intent on destroying a star in order to gain access to a realm of existence known as the Nexus.
The film stars Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, Brent Spiner, LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis, Malcolm McDowell, and William Shatner, reprising his role as James T. Kirk from the original Star Trek film series. The film also features the return of several cast members from the original Star Trek series, including James Doohan, Walter Koenig, and George Takei.
The film follows the crew of the Enterprise-D as they attempt to stop Soran from destroying a star, which would create a temporal rift that would grant him access to the Nexus, a realm of existence that grants its inhabitants a life
