Synopsis/Plot
Star Trek: First Contact is a 1996 science-fiction adventure film directed by Jonathan Frakes. It is the eighth installment in the Star Trek film franchise.
The film follows the crew of the USS Enterprise-E, as they travel back in time to the mid-21st century to prevent the cybernetic Borg from preventing Earth’s first contact with an alien species.
The crew is led by Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart), who is determined to stop the Borg from changing the timeline and ensuring their own victory in the future. Along the way, the crew meets Lily Sloane (Alfre Woodard), a 21st-century scientist who helps them in their mission.
The crew must battle the Borg Queen (Alice Krige), a powerful and sinister being who is determined to assimilate Earth into her collective. They must also contend with the Borg’s relentless pursuit of them as they attempt to protect the future of humanity.
