Synopsis – What to Expect from “Star Kid”
Star Kid is a 1997 science fiction adventure film directed by Manny Coto. It stars Joseph Mazzello as Spencer Griffith, a shy and socially awkward twelve-year-old who discovers a mysterious device that gives him superpowers.
Spencer is a lonely and isolated boy who is constantly picked on by his classmates and bullies. One day, while exploring an abandoned building, he finds a strange device that looks like a video game controller. When he touches it, he is transported to a virtual world where he meets a robotic alien named Cy, who gives him a special suit and grants him superpowers.
Spencer is initially excited about his newfound abilities but soon discovers that he is being hunted by an evil alien race known as the Plutarkians. With the help of Cy, Spencer must use his newfound powers to protect Earth from the Plutarkians and save his family and friends.
The Plutarkians are led by their ruthless leader, Lord Krill, who is determined to take over Earth and enslave its inhabitants. Spencer and Cy must enlist the help of Spencer’s friends, family, and even his bullies to help him fight against Krill and the Plutarkians.
