Synopsis – What to Expect from “Stakeout”
Stakeout is a 1987 American crime-comedy film starring Richard Dreyfuss, Emilio Estevez, Madeleine Stowe, and Aidan Quinn.
The movie follows two Seattle Police Department detectives, Bill Reimers (Dreyfuss) and Chris Lecce (Estevez), as they are assigned to stake out the home of Maria McGuire (Stowe), the ex-girlfriend of a suspect in a murder investigation. Despite their initial disdain for each other, the two detectives eventually become friends and partners.
When Maria’s life is threatened by the suspect, Bill and Chris must go undercover to protect her. They enlist the help of an old friend, Bob (Quinn), and, together, the three of them devise a plan to keep Maria safe.
However, their plan quickly unravels when the suspect learns of their plot and sets a trap for them. As the detectives struggle to stay alive, they must also find a way to bring the suspect to justice and save Maria.
