Synopsis – What to Expect from “Spun”
Spun is a dark comedy crime film released in 2002 and directed by Jonas Ã…kerlund. It follows the lives of three drug addicts, Ross, Cookie, and Nikki, and the drug dealer, The Cook, who supplies them with their fix.
The story begins with Ross, a young man living in Los Angeles, who is addicted to speed. He meets a drug dealer called The Cook, who supplies him with his fix. Meanwhile, Ross meets Cookie and Nikki, two other drug addicts who have been living on the streets for a while. They become fast friends and the three of them start to form a makeshift family.
The Cook is a shady character and he has a plan to make some money by selling a large amount of speed to a rival drug dealer. Ross, Cookie, and Nikki are all eager to help him, as they all need money to support their drug habits.
Things start to go wrong when the rival dealer turns out to be a cop and Ross, Cookie, and Nikki are arrested. The Cook manages to escape, but the trio are sent to jail. While in jail, Ross and the others struggle to stay clean and Ross even attempts suicide.
Eventually, the trio is released and they all try to get their lives back on track. Ross manages to get a job as a delivery driver and he and Cookie start to build a relationship. Nikki, however, is still addicted to drugs and she ends up getting involved with a
