Synopsis/Plot
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is a 2018 American computer-animated superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Miles Morales/Spider-Man. The film is directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, and Rodney Rothman, from a screenplay by Phil Lord and Rothman, and stars the voices of Shameik Moore, Jake Johnson, Hailee Steinfeld, Mahershala Ali, Brian Tyree Henry, Lily Tomlin, Luna Lauren Velez, Zoë Kravitz, John Mulaney, Kimiko Glenn, Nicolas Cage, and Liev Schreiber.
The film follows Miles Morales, a Brooklyn teen struggling with school, friends, and his family, who discovers his destiny when heis bitten by a radioactive spider and gains spider-like powers. He soon meets Peter Parker, an alternate version of Spider-Man from another dimension, and the two team up to stop the Kingpin from using a supercollider to bring destruction to their respective universes. Along the way, Miles meets other Spider-People from different dimensions, and discovers the importance of being true to himself.
