The movie begins with a group of teenagers from all over the world, including Kathryn (Lea Thompson), Max (Kelly Preston), Tish (Tate Donovan), Andie (Joaquin Phoenix), Rudy (Larry B. Scott), Kevin (Tom Skerritt), and Dori (Maia Brewton). They are all attending Space Camp, a program designed to teach them about space exploration.
At Space Camp, the group learns about the history of space exploration, and they are also taught about the physics of space travel and the dangers of space exploration. They also learn about the different types of spacecraft, and how to operate them.
During their time at Space Camp, the group bonds and becomes close friends. They also compete in a series of challenges, which are designed to test their knowledge and skills.
One day, a malfunction causes the group to be launched into outer space, and they are forced to use their knowledge and skills to survive. The group must work together to find a way back to Earth, and they must also deal with the dangers of space exploration.
The group eventually makes it back to Earth, and they are reunited with their families. They have all learned valuable lessons about space exploration, and they are now better prepared for their future.
