Synopsis – What to Expect from “Son of Flubber”
Son of Flubber is a 1963 Walt Disney film starring Fred MacMurray and Nancy Olson. It is a sequel to the 1961 Disney classic The Absent-Minded Professor.
The film begins with Professor Ned Brainard (MacMurray) and his wife Betsy (Olson) preparing for their son’s wedding. However, Ned’s absent-mindedness gets the better of him and he accidentally creates a new version of his famous Flubber formula. This causes some unexpected and hilarious results, as the new Flubber has a mind of its own.
The Flubber causes chaos in the Brainard household and the town of Medfield. Ned’s son, Wilbur, is unable to get married until the Flubber is taken care of. With the help of his friend, Alonzo Hawk, Ned sets out to capture the Flubber and put an end to the chaos.
The Flubber leads Ned and Alonzo on a wild chase through the town of Medfield, causing mayhem and destruction wherever it goes. Eventually, Ned and Alonzo are able to capture the Flubber and put an end to the chaos.
The film ends with Ned and Betsy’s son, Wilbur, getting married. The Flubber is put away and the Brainards and the town of Medfield are safe once again.
