Synopsis – What to Expect from “Somewhere”

Somewhere is a 2010 drama film written and directed by Sofia Coppola. The film follows the story of Johnny Marco (Stephen Dorff), a successful Hollywood actor, who lives a luxurious life of excess and leisure in the legendary Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles.

Johnny is caught in a state of emotional isolation and ennui, and his life is filled with long days of aimless wandering and nights of heavy drinking and partying. His only real connection is with his 11-year-old daughter Cleo (Elle Fanning), whom he rarely sees due to his hectic lifestyle.
