Synopsis – What to Expect from “Somewhere in Time”
Somewhere in Time is a romantic fantasy film released in 1980 and starring Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour. The movie follows Richard Collier, a young playwright who falls in love with a woman in a portrait he sees at an old hotel. He soon discovers that the woman is Elise McKenna, a famous actress from the early 1900s. After researching her life, Richard discovers that he has the power to travel back in time using self-hypnosis. He decides to use this power to travel back in time and meet Elise.
When Richard travels back in time, he discovers that Elise is engaged to another man. He is determined to win her heart, and the two begin to fall in love. However, Elise’s fiancé, William, is determined to keep them apart. Richard and Elise must fight to be together and prove their love is strong enough to overcome any obstacle.
The movie follows Richard and Elise’s journey as they fight for their love and attempt to find a way to be together. Along the way, they must face the consequences of time travel, as well as the dangers of a jealous rival. As the story progresses, Richard and Elise’s love for each other grows stronger and they must find a way to be together despite the obstacles in their way.
