Synopsis – What to Expect from “Someone to Watch Over Me”
Someone to Watch Over Me is a 1987 American romantic crime drama film directed by Ridley Scott and starring Tom Berenger, Mimi Rogers, Lorraine Bracco, and Jerry Orbach.
The film follows New York City police officer Mike Keegan (Tom Berenger) who is assigned to protect the beautiful socialite Claire Gregory (Mimi Rogers) after she witnesses a murder. Mike is a rough-around-the-edges cop who is used to dealing with criminals, but he finds himself out of his depth when it comes to dealing with the sophisticated world of Claire. Despite their differences, the two find themselves drawn to each other and eventually fall in love.
Meanwhile, the murderer, Vince Latello (John Rubinstein), is still on the loose and is determined to silence Claire before she can testify against him. With Mike’s help, Claire is able to stay one step ahead of Vince, but it soon becomes clear that Vince will stop at nothing to carry out his plan. In the end, Mike and Claire must fight to stay alive and keep Vince from getting to them.
The film is a thrilling story of love, danger, and suspense, as Mike and Claire battle to stay alive and protect each other from the relentless Vince.
