Synopsis/Plot
Soldier is a 1998 American science fiction action film directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, starring Kurt Russell, Jason Scott Lee, and Jason Isaacs.
The story follows a veteran soldier, Todd (Kurt Russell), who is selected to be part of a special experiment designed to create the perfect soldier. After the experiment, Todd is transformed into a superhuman killing machine, and is sent to a distant planet to fight a group of genetically-engineered soldiers created by a rival government.
On the planet, Todd finds himself in a conflict between the two governments, and must choose between his loyalty to his own government and his newfound sense of morality. As he battles the enemy forces, Todd discovers a sense of humanity and compassion that he never knew he had.
The action-packed movie features spectacular special effects, thrilling fight scenes, and a thought-provoking story. Kurt Russell gives a powerful performance as Todd, and Jason Scott Lee and Jason Isaacs provide strong supporting performances.
