Synopsis/Plot
Snitch is an action-packed drama about a father’s desperate attempt to save his son from a lengthy prison sentence. John Matthews (Dwayne Johnson) is a successful construction business owner and loving father to his teenage son, Jason (Rafi Gavron). After Jason is caught with drugs that he was tricked into carrying by a friend, he is facing a 10-year mandatory minimum sentence. Desperate to save his son, John makes a deal with the U.S. Attorney (Susan Sarandon) to go undercover and infiltrate a drug cartel in exchange for a reduced sentence for his son.
John is forced to put his life on the line as he infiltrates the drug world, working with an ex-con (Jon Bernthal) to get close to the cartel’s leader, Malik (Michael Kenneth Williams). As John gets deeper into the criminal underworld, he discovers the truth about the drug business and the lengths people will go to for money and power. With the help of a federal agent (Barry Pepper), John must use his street smarts to take down the cartel and save his son.
