Synopsis/Plot
Snake Eyes is a 1998 action-thriller film directed by Brian De Palma and starring Nicolas Cage as Detective Rick Santoro, a corrupt Atlantic City police detective. The film follows Santoro as he investigates the assassination of a U.S. Cabinet Secretary at an Atlantic City boxing match. Santoro, who was at the match, is determined to find out who was responsible for the killing.
The film begins with Santoro attending the boxing match and witnessing the assassination of the Cabinet Secretary. He quickly becomes involved in the investigation, and his investigation leads him to uncover a vast conspiracy involving the Atlantic City police force, the FBI, and a powerful local mob boss. As Santoro continues his investigation, he discovers a web of deceit and corruption that threatens to unravel the entire city.
The film is a classic thriller, with intense action sequences, suspenseful moments, and plenty of twists and turns. Nicolas Cage gives a standout performance as Santoro, and the supporting cast includes Gary Sinise, John Heard, Carla Gugino, and Stan Shaw. The film also features an exciting score by John Debney.
