Synopsis/Plot
Smokey and the Bandit Part 3 is a 1983 American action comedy film directed by Hal Needham and starring Burt Reynolds, Jackie Gleason, Jerry Reed, and Sally Field. The film follows the Bandit (Reynolds) and his partner Cledus (Reed) as they are hired to transport an elephant from Florida to Texas. Along the way, they are pursued by Sheriff Buford T. Justice (Gleason), who is determined to bring them to justice.
The film begins with the Bandit and Cledus on the run from the law, having just escaped from prison. They are hired by Junior Justice (Paul Williams), the son of Sheriff Buford T. Justice, to transport an elephant from Florida to Texas. The Bandit and Cledus agree, but soon find themselves pursued by the Sheriff, who is determined to bring them to justice. Along the way, they encounter a variety of characters, including a biker gang, a country singer, and a group of nuns.
