Synopsis – What to Expect from “Small Crimes”
Small Crimes follows the story of disgraced former cop Joe Denton (played by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), who has just been released from prison after serving a six-year sentence for attempted murder. After his release, Joe returns to his sleepy hometown of New Haven, Connecticut, hoping to start a new life and reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter, Ava (MacKenzie Leigh).
However, Joe quickly finds himself drawn back into the dark and dangerous criminal underworld of the town. He is approached by an old friend, Frank (Gary Cole), who is now a powerful mob boss, and asked to carry out a high-stakes heist. Joe reluctantly agrees, but soon realizes that he is in way over his head.
With the help of his daughter, Joe must navigate the dangerous streets of New Haven and outwit the mobsters who are determined to get their money back. Along the way, he must also confront his past and make amends with his daughter, who is struggling to come to terms with the fact that her father is a criminal.
