Synopsis/Plot
Slither is a 2006 horror-comedy film directed by James Gunn and starring Nathan Fillion, Elizabeth Banks, and Michael Rooker. The plot follows a small rural town that is invaded by an alien parasite that turns its hosts into zombies.
The film opens in the small town of Wheelsy, South Carolina, where Grant Grant (Michael Rooker) is out hunting in the woods. He finds a mysterious meteorite and brings it home with him. Unbeknownst to Grant, the meteorite contains a parasite that takes over his body and turns him into a monster.
Grant then begins to infect the townspeople with the parasite, turning them into zombies. The town’s sheriff, Bill Pardy (Nathan Fillion), is the first to realize what is happening and he teams up with a local scientist, Starla Grant (Elizabeth Banks), to find a way to stop the parasite.
The two soon discover that the only way to stop the parasite is to kill Grant, but they must also find a way to save the townspeople from becoming infected. With the help of Starla’s ex-husband, Jack MacReady (Gregg Henry), they devise a plan to rid
