Synopsis – What to Expect from “Sleeping with My Student”
Sleeping with My Student is a 2019 romantic comedy directed by David I. Strasser.
The movie follows the story of Alex Lainey (Meagan Karimi-Naser), a high school English teacher who is struggling to make ends meet. She is constantly worrying about her financial situation and is desperate to find a way to make some extra money.
One day, she is approached by a student, Nathan (Tyler Johnston), who offers her a job tutoring him in English. Alex accepts the offer, not just for the money, but also because she is attracted to Nathan.
As their tutoring sessions progress, Alex and Nathan’s relationship begins to deepen and they eventually fall in love. Alex is conflicted, however, as she knows that it is against the law for a teacher to be romantically involved with a student.
Meanwhile, Alex’s financial situation is getting worse and she is forced to take a second job as a bartender at a local bar. Nathan finds out and is angry, as he believes that Alex is using him for money.
The two eventually reconcile and Nathan reveals that he has been saving up money to help Alex with her financial problems. Alex is touched and the two decide to keep their relationship a secret.
