Synopsis/Plot
Sinister is a 2012 American supernatural horror film directed by Scott Derrickson and written by Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill. The film stars Ethan Hawke as Ellison Oswalt, a true-crime writer who discovers a box of home movies depicting several gruesome murders. After moving into a new home with his family, he discovers that the house is haunted by a supernatural entity.
The film follows Oswalt as he attempts to uncover the mystery behind the home movies and the entity that haunts the house. He discovers that the entity is an ancient Babylonian deity named Bughuul, who is responsible for the gruesome murders depicted in the films. As he delves deeper into the mystery, he finds that theentity is determined to claim his family as its next victims. With the help of a local deputy, Oswalt must find a way to stop Bughuul and save his family.
