Synopsis/Plot
Short Circuit is a 1986 science fiction comedy film directed by John Badham and starring Ally Sheedy and Steve Guttenberg. The film tells the story of a military robot, Number 5, that is struck by lightning and develops a sense of self-awareness. After escaping from the military facility, Number 5 embarks on an adventure to discover his true identity and purpose while avoiding capture from the military. Along the way, he meets Stephanie Speck, a kind-hearted animal-lover who helps him understand his newfound identity and find his place in the world.
The movie begins with Number 5 being tested at a military facility. During the test, a lightning bolt strikes the robot, causing it to become self-aware and escape from the facility. Number 5 then goes on a journey to discover his identity and purpose. As he travels, he meets Stephanie, a kind-hearted animal lover who helps him understand his newfound identity. Together, they embark on a mission to find Number 5’s creator and return him to the military facility.
Along the way, the duo must evade the military forces that are in pursuit of Number 5. In order to do this, they enlist the help of some unlikely allies, including a group
