Synopsis – What to Expect from “Shoot to Kill”
Shoot to Kill is a 1988 American action thriller directed by Roger Spottiswoode. The movie stars Sidney Poitier, Tom Berenger, Kirstie Alley, and Andrew Robinson.
The movie follows FBI agent Warren Stantin (Sidney Poitier), who is assigned to track down a ruthless killer, Jonathan Drake (Andrew Robinson). Drake is a former CIA operative who is now a mercenary and has been hired to assassinate a key witness in an upcoming trial.
Stantin is joined by a former colleague, Sarah (Kirstie Alley), and an outdoorsman, Jonathan Knox (Tom Berenger). Together, they set out to catch Drake before he can carry out his mission.
The trio follows Drake’s trail of destruction across the Pacific Northwest, eventually tracking him down to a remote mountain lodge. There, a violent confrontation ensues, and Stantin and his team must use their wits and skills to outwit Drake and his henchmen.
In the end, Stantin and his team are able to save the witness and capture Drake. The movie ends with Stantin and Sarah embracing, as they realize that they have finally brought justice to the victims of Drake’s crimes.
