Shepherds and Butchers is a 2017 South African drama film directed by Oliver Schmitz and written by Brian Cox.
The movie is set in South Africa in the late 1980s and follows the story of a young lawyer, Johan Webber (Garion Dowds), who takes on the case of a prison guard, Leon Labuschagne (Steve Coogan), who is on trial for killing seven inmates in a single day.
