Synopsis/Plot
Shaft is a 2000 American action-comedy film directed by John Singleton and starring Samuel L. Jackson as John Shaft, Jr., the nephew of the original John Shaft (played by Richard Roundtree). The film follows John Shaft, Jr., a street-smart FBI agent who is determined to take down a notorious drug lord named Walter Wade, Jr. (Christian Bale).
Shaft is a pulse-pounding, action-packed thrill ride that follows Shaft as he teams up with a beautiful police detective (Toni Collette) to take down Wade and his criminal empire. Along the way, Shaft must deal with corrupt police officers, gangsters, and a mysterious woman (Vanessa Williams) who may have some information about Wade’s whereabouts.
