Synopsis – What to Expect from “Shadows and Fog”
Shadows and Fog is a 1991 black-and-white comedy-drama directed by Woody Allen. It stars John Malkovich, Madonna, Kathy Bates, Kenneth Mars, and Donald Pleasence.
The movie follows the adventures of a nameless, mild-mannered clerk (Malkovich) who lives in a small, unnamed European city. He is awakened one night by a group of vigilante citizens who are searching for a mysterious serial killer who has been terrorizing the city. The clerk joins the group, hoping to help them catch the killer and restore peace to the city.
As the group searches for the killer, they encounter a variety of strange and amusing characters. These include a circus clown, a blind fortune teller, a mysterious prostitute, and a mysterious professor. The clerk also meets a beautiful woman named Irmy (Madonna) and the two soon fall in love.
The group eventually discovers that the killer is a mysterious figure known as “The Strangler”. The Strangler is a shadowy figure who stalks his victims in the fog. As the group attempts to capture the Strangler, they are pursued by a corrupt police force and a mysterious figure who is determined to silence anyone who gets too close to the truth.
The clerk and Irmy must find a way to defeat the Strangler and restore peace to the city. Along the way, they discover the secrets of the Strangler and the true meaning of
