Synopsis – What to Expect from “Sex Ed”
Sex Ed is a 2014 romantic comedy film directed by Isaac Feder and starring Haley Joel Osment, Retta, and Lorenza Izzo.
The story follows Ed, a high school teacher in a small town who is tasked with teaching sex education. Ed is a bit of a prude and is not particularly comfortable with the subject matter. He is also dealing with his own issues of being single and not having had a successful relationship in years. As he begins to teach the class, Ed finds himself becoming more and more attracted to one of his students, the beautiful and confident Tori.
Tori is a free spirit who is not afraid to speak her mind and challenge Ed’s conservative views. As their relationship develops, Ed begins to open up and learn more about himself and his own needs. However, as Ed and Tori’s relationship intensifies, Ed finds himself in a difficult moral dilemma as he must decide whether to pursue a relationship with a student or remain professional.
The film follows Ed’s journey as he struggles with his feelings for Tori and his own personal issues. Along the way, Ed learns valuable lessons about love, relationships, and sex education. With the help of his students, Ed discovers that there is more to life than what he had previously thought. In the end, Ed discovers that love can be found in the most unexpected places.
