Synopsis/Plot
Set It Up is a 2018 romantic comedy film directed by Claire Scanlon and written by Katie Silberman. The film stars Zoey Deutch, Glen Powell, Taye Diggs, and Lucy Liu.
The film follows two overworked and underpaid assistants, Harper (Deutch) and Charlie (Powell). After bonding over their mutual hatred of their demanding bosses, they devise a plan to set up their supervisors, Kirsten (Liu) and Rick (Diggs), in the hopes that their relationship will help reduce their workload.
Harper and Charlie’s plan works, and Kirsten and Rick soon begin a relationship. However, Harper and Charlie soon realize that their plan has some unexpected consequences, as they must now deal with the fallout of their meddling.
The film follows Harper and Charlie as they navigate their newfound relationship with their bosses, as well as their own feelings for each other. Along the way, they must learn to balance their own needs with those of their bosses and figure out what they truly want out of life.
