Synopsis – What to Expect from “Serving Sara”
Serving Sara is a romantic comedy film released in 2002 starring Matthew Perry and Elizabeth Hurley. The film follows the story of Joe Tyler (Matthew Perry), a process server who is assigned to serve Sara Moore (Elizabeth Hurley) with divorce papers. Joe discovers that Sara’s husband is a wealthy Texas cattle rancher, Gordon Moore (Bruce Campbell), and makes a deal with Sara to serve Gordon instead, in exchange for a large sum of money.
Sara and Joe set out on a road trip to serve Gordon with the papers, but Gordon is one step ahead of them. He hires a bounty hunter, Ray (Vince Vaughn), to track them down and stop them from serving him. Along the way, Sara and Joe face a number of obstacles, including a run-in with a biker gang, an encounter with a group of Native Americans, and a confrontation with a corrupt sheriff.
In the end, Sara and Joe are able to serve Gordon and get their money, but not before they fall in love with each other. The film ends with Sara and Joe happily married, and Gordon left alone.
