Synopsis/Plot
Selena is a biographical drama film released in 1997, starring Jennifer Lopez in the title role. The film follows the life of Selena Quintanilla-Pérez, a Mexican-American singer who rose to fame in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The film begins with a young Selena being taught to sing and perform by her father, Abraham Quintanilla, Jr. He manages her career and helps her become a successful singer in the Tejano music genre.
