Synopsis – What to Expect from “Saving Silverman”
Saving Silverman is a 2001 comedy film starring Jason Biggs, Steve Zahn, Jack Black, Amanda Peet, and R. Lee Ermey. The movie follows two best friends, Darren (Biggs) and J.D. (Zahn) who have been inseparable since childhood. They share a love of Neil Diamond and a passion for practical jokes, but their friendship is threatened when J.D. falls for Judith (Peet), a beautiful and domineering psychologist.
J.D. is so smitten with Judith that he is willing to do anything for her, even if it means sacrificing his friendship with Darren. To prevent this from happening, Darren and his other best friend, Wayne (Black), hatch a plan to break up the couple. They enlist the help of an ex-convict, Sandy (Ermey), to help them kidnap Judith and keep her away from J.D.
As the plan is set into motion, the trio of friends find themselves in a series of increasingly dangerous situations. They must contend with Judith’s vengeful father, a biker gang, and a karate expert hired by Judith to find her. As the stakes get higher, Darren and Wayne must rely on their wits and friendship to save J.D. from a life of unhappiness.
