Synopsis/Plot
Saludos Amigos is a 1942 animated feature film produced by Walt Disney Productions and released by RKO Radio Pictures. It is the sixth Disney animated feature film and the first of the six package films produced by Walt Disney Studios in the 1940s. The film is composed of four different segments set in various parts of Latin America, and is the first of the Disney package films to combine live-action and animation.
The first segment, “Lake Titicaca”, is set in Peru and follows Donald Duck as he visits the area and meets the locals. He goes on a boat ride with José Carioca, a Brazilian parrot, and Panchito Pistoles, a Mexican rooster.
The second segment, “Pedro”, is set in Chile and follows a young plane as he attempts to make a mail delivery to the country. Along the way, Pedro encounters various obstacles, including a storm, a mountain, and a group of condors.
