Synopsis – What to Expect from “Saboteur”
Saboteur is a 1942 American thriller film directed by Alfred Hitchcock. The film stars Robert Cummings as aircraft factory worker Barry Kane, who is accused of sabotage and goes on the run to clear his name.
The film begins with Barry Kane (Robert Cummings) at an aircraft factory in California. He is working on a new aircraft when the factory suddenly explodes. Kane is accused of sabotage and is forced to go on the run. He is determined to find the real saboteur and clear his name.
Kane travels to New York City in search of the saboteur. Along the way, he meets an old friend, Charles Tobin (Norman Lloyd), who helps him in his search. Kane soon discovers that the saboteur is a man named Fry (Otto Kruger), who is working with a group of Nazi spies.
Kane and Tobin travel to Long Island, where they discover that Fry and the spies are planning to sabotage the Panama Canal. Kane and Tobin decide to stop them and prevent the sabotage. They enlist the help of a group of patriotic Americans and set out to stop the saboteurs.
Kane and Tobin eventually locate Fry and the spies, but they are captured and taken to a secret Nazi hideout. Kane and Tobin must now escape and find a way to stop the saboteurs from carrying out their plans.
