Synopsis/Plot
Running Scared is a 2006 action thriller film directed by Wayne Kramer and starring Paul Walker, Cameron Bright, and Vera Farmiga. The film follows two young boys, Oleg and Tommy, as they try to save their neighborhood by taking on the Russian mafia.
The film opens with Oleg and Tommy, two young boys living in a crime-ridden neighborhood in New Jersey. They are forced to witness a brutal mob killing and are then tasked with disposing of the gun used in the crime. They are soon pursued by the Russian mob, led by a ruthless mob boss, and must rely on their wits and courage to stay alive.
The boys’ journey takes them from the streets of their neighborhood to the homes of the mobsters and even to a strip club. Along the way, they face danger and violence at every turn, but they are determined to stay one step ahead of their pursuers.
The boys are aided by a sympathetic cop, Detective Rydell, who is determined to bring down the mob boss. As the boys’ journey takes them further into the dark world of the mob, they discover a secret that could help them save their neighborhood and even their own lives.
